What Are You Wondering About?

5/10/2008

I love it when Abraham tells stories about Esther and Jerry.  It's fun to hear how they are manifesting and creating and knocking around in this thing we call life.

Jerry and Esther drive to their workshops in a monster bus.  A huge home-on-wheels this thing makes an RV look like a smart car.

One day a friend gave them a gift.

It was a kit that would magically repair chips in your windshield. It was easy to use and totally portable so you could take it on the road with you.

Esther thought it was a marvelous thing.  She smiled at this wondrous gift.  She wondered how it would work.  She wondered if it would work as well as they said it would.

As I recall, she talked about this great product quite a bit.  She showed it to her friends.

Not long after Esther was driving her bus when all of a sudden a rock popped up and chipped the windshield.

Coincidence?

Hardly.

Esther was wondering about how the product would work.  She was thinking about it, she was talking about it.  Heck, she was even excited about the idea of it!  So Esther attracted the finding-out.  Esther got to see the product in action.

Now did she want a rock to bust her windshield?

Of course not.

But the Universe only sees one thing: like attracts like.  Esther was vibrating around this idea so the idea became a reality.

Nice Concept, But...
This story has stuck with me over the years but it never "hit home" with me until today when I read Jeannette Maw's blog post.  (Have I told you about my favorite Law of Attraction coach?)

While scooping up dog poo from the carpet in her new house Jeannette realized she had always wondered where the dogs would go in that house.

Really?

It surprised her, too.

So she spoke about the concept of wondering and in a flash everything came together for me.

What you are wondering you are creating.

It seems so simple - why didn't I pay attention to it before!?

I had to comment on her blog post:

"Wow - that’s great to think about because I’ve had my second baby and, well, I start thinking about how big I’ve gotten as soon as I start to show so I do gain weight… and I know I can lose the weight since I did it with the first one in 30 days once I got my alignment right and now you’ve got me realizing that I’ve been wondering how big I’m going to get before I decide to switch gears.

Eep!!!!! No wonder I’m, um, getting bigger! LOL!

Now I will wonder how I will find my favorite new “skinny” pants!"

More Things I Wondered Today
Since reading her blog I have noticed more things I have been wondering.  I have been wondering just how much fun I will have in San Diego soon.  (I'm so excited!)

I have been wondering what awesome new house I will live in some day.

But I have also wondered:

  • "I wonder if they trimmed our big tree good enough or is it going to lose a limb?"
  • "I wonder how long the baby will sleep tonight?"
(Meaning: how soon will she wake up?  I assume she will not sleep through the night.)
  • "I wonder how tired I will be tomorrow."

Before today these thoughts seemed so simple and so harmless I didn't even notice them.  I wasn't upset while I was wondering them I was just, well, pondering.

Hmmm.  That seems like a great recipe for creating, doesn't it?  Thinking about something without experiencing resistance to the idea...isn't that Law of Attraction 101?

Now I Wonder...
Now that I know the power of wondering....

I wonder what I will do with all of the hours I have to myself while the baby is asleep.

I wonder how energized I will feel tomorrow for all of the things I have planned.

And as for that tree?  Well, I've stopped wondering.  I know my intuition will guide me if I need to get out from under it.

Now comes the best ? yet.

What are you wondering?
