I learned something amazing when I took classes at the Center for Spiritual Living (CSL) in San Jose, CA. I learned about having a Prayer Partner.
In one 15-20 minute call per week, you and a friend can make miracles happen.
I could go on an on about why having a Prayer Partner works. You have someone to help you get clear on what you want. You have someone helping to hold your vision for you even when you can't. You have a weekly "target" that helps you keep positive momentum going. You have the uplifting experience of holding a vision for someone else. You cultivate a beautiful service mindset. You learn to focus on the positive. You learn to ask for help. You learn to celebrate. You learn to connect. There's more, I'm sure of it.
How do you have weekly Prayer Partner calls? I wrote up these guidelines based on the CSL Prayer Partner instructions.
And, don't forget... have fun! :)
Partner 1: I had successes this past week! I'm so grateful! [Here they are...] Right now I am feeling stuck at work. I have a new project and I don't feel supported. I want it to be a success.
Partner 2: So you want to feel supported?
Partner 1: Yes.
Partner 2: I am going to say a prayer for you.
Here is where Partner 2 makes something up. You speak from the heart. If you need help creating a prayer, the Centers for Spiritual Living have a prayer formula they use which is powerful as it covers five important parts of conscious creation from knowing to gratitude to letting go. You can see instructions here. If it feels awkward sharing prayers for each other at first, that's OK! You are allowed to laugh. :) Just keep trying and you will get the hang of it. The positive changes in your lives you share with each other will give you the courage to go deeper and bolder with your visions, your prayers, and your appreciation.
Love you, Alora :)
