![]() My favorite book in the whole world on manifesting money is "The Science of Getting Rich" by Wallace Wattles. The book was written in 1910 which means it's so old it has no copyright anymore; there are free ebooks all over the internet you can download. You can also buy paperbacks from people if you wish. (My favorite ebook version is linked at the bottom of this post.) Here is why I love it: 1. It's so old the language is old-timey.
This tickles me to no end. I love being reminded that the Law of Attraction isn't some new-fangled fad. And for some reason the language, being old, helps me side-step my modern day blocks and thoughts. When I was stuck in poverty consciousness and judgement I found it much easier to believe Wallace Wattles than some shiny sports-car driving self-help guru in my own present time. I didn't thumb my nose at Mr. Wattles, I thought he was old-timey cute. 2. Wattles explained, for first time in words I could understand, why I would want to be rich. Many books tell you how to become rich. Some books tell you why. Yes, money is freedom. Yes, it's great to be able to buy things. But when Wallace said that you cannot fully express yourself without the use of things I totally cracked open. Thank you, Mr. Wattles. 3. Wallace speaks with absolute conviction. I love his no-nonsense, unapologetic approach. "Do this and it will work. And this I explain in less than 1,000 pages or four week-long seminars." I'm paraphrasing, of course, since that did not sound old-timey at all. So you know, he does talk about God. I like that. You may not. If you don't, you can substitute words for it in your head like "Mind" or "Source" or "Quantum Physics". Or heck, it's a free e-book... I'll bet you can download it into a document on your computer and do a "replace" on that word, wiping it out entirely. You can then have fun trying out new phrases: "That-Which-Is-Infinite" "Where-The-Goods-Come-From" "Shirley" My Favorite Ebook Version My very favorite ebook version of The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace Wattles is from the website scienceofgettingrich.net. If you sign up for Rebecca's newsletter she sends you the ebook. I highly recommend both her clean, easy-to-read ebook copy, and her newsletter. And... The Audio Book Long after I read the ebook I said "what the heck" to Rebecca's sale on her audio version of the book and I bought it. Am I ever glad I did. Reading the book is one thing, hearing it is another. I reached new levels of understanding and application by tuning into the CD while I was doing dishes or driving the car. Plus, she is so sweetly shy about doing the recording (and she loves the material so much) it was hard not to open my heart to it, making it extra powerful for me. Yes, Yes, But Does It Work? Based on my bank account and my level of joy I would say: YES. But don't take my word for it, see for yourself and enjoy doing things "in a certain way". :)
