"I'm new to Law of Attraction. What book would you recommend?"
I get this question a lot and my answer is alway the same: Ask And It Is Given by Esther Hicks.
This is the first book Esther Hicks wrote. Not only does Ask And It Is Given explain Law of Attraction crazy well with organized, step-by-step, walk-you-through-it-ness, it has an index of 22 processes you can use to shift your vibe. These processes are worth their weight in gold. Except pages have little weight. So how about a dump truck full of... dollars? Now my mind is wandering, imagining all of the heavy things this book is like, only gold. Clearly, I digress.
Back to the gold in the book.
These 22 processes are organized by feeling. What are you feeling? Are you stuck feeling overwhelmed? Use this process. How about anger? Here's a process for that. Brilliant.
This book also has the most important thing you may ever learn when it comes to actually applying this stuff to your life and seeing results: the emotional scale.
When you learn that anger is really a boon, and that revenge is even better, your mind explodes a little and suddenly everything makes sense. You allow your emotions to flow and the whole world shifts around you. You realize you, too, can jump into the colored chalk picture on the sidewalk and dance with penguins.
There are no limits. Your feelings are valid. Mary Poppins is awesome.
In the day and age of the e-book, Ask And It Is Given is one of the select "real" books I keep in hard copy on my shelf. I can flip through it, reference it, and use it when I need it. It's just like the title. I ask and it is given.
P.S. When I give the recommendation to read Ask And It Is Given I often warn the person that the book is channeled (just in case that is a bit woo-woo for them). But since they are asking me, I figure they can roll with it. ;)
